Understand the basics of Yukon Solitaire

Yukon Solitaire gives you a focused activity to play in your browser. Build four suit foundations from ace to king. Keep the game area visible while you use its controls. Read the objective before making your first input. Choose a clear next step rather than rushing through the instructions.

One deck, no stock, Yukon deal. Free solo play, no wagering.

Something to practise

Read one step at a time and try it on the playing area. Match the instruction to the control you use. Make the next step deliberately.

Your objective

Build four suit foundations from ace to king. The feedback beside the game helps you follow the round. Take a moment to understand the current position.

The playing sequence

  1. Build down in alternating colours. Any face-up card carries all cards below it, even when unordered. Kings fill empty columns.
  2. Select a face-up card and then the destination pile or Empty slot.
  3. Use foundations where available; full Spider or Scorpion runs clear automatically.
  4. Undo reverses a choice. New deal shuffles again.

Input guidance

Click or tap cards and piles. Wide tableaus scroll inside the game; use Undo, Hint and New deal where shown. Use the control method described here for this activity. Check any mode label before starting.

Follow the example

A red 6 carrying an unordered tail can move onto a black 7. Compare this with the rule that governs the move. Notice the change in the playing area.

A common point of confusion

Random deals are not guaranteed solvable. A hint is a legal move, not a winning strategy. Take a moment to reassess the position before continuing. Take enough time to read a new position. If a game has a timer, learn its controls first rather than searching for them during the round.
